 u16 v Fermanagh at Irvinestown                                                                                                        15-03-09

A young team travelled to Irvinestown on Saturday. The Saffron girls played their opening half into a strong breeze and soon established a 5 point lead. However the Fermanagh girls battled well to close the lead and with 8 minutes before half time the home side netted the ball twice. A lapse in concentration meant the Antrim girls were 6 points down at half time. However their true character re-emerged and soon brought the deficit back to a mere point. With 3 mins remaining Antrim netted the ball however this was over ruled by the referee calling the square ball rule. Antrim continued to apply pressure but squandered chances to seal a victory. Final score Antrim 2-05 Fermanagh 2.06
